When it comes to direct marketing for your practice, sometimes you have to think outside the box—and get out of the office. We recently set up a booth at a motorcycle swap meet sponsored by Departure Bike Works of Richmond. Enthusiasts from all over Virginia and surrounding states came to buy and sell used, vintage, and antique motorcycle parts. Even the Hell’s Angels were in attendance, selling their T-shirts at the booth next to us. We met a lot of great people during the event (but no photographs, please) and heard horror stories about life on the road from truckers (one of whom was pulled for going 68 in a 65 mph zone in Ohio). The takeaway: Not all marketing involves wearing a suit and tie. Get out and meet the folks. We’ll be serving Virginia wines at the Shad Planking in Wakefield later this month. What are your plans for Spring?
